I went early on a Monday. This is like going to a diner 30 years ago, including the prices (sort of), service (definitely) and the fact that you pay by cash or check! It was great, and Gina's hospitality makes it over the top.
This is not for you if you are vegan or are gluten free. Remember when those things didn't exist? This is Gina's - a throwback to the 90's I don't think there's an avocado in the place.
To me Gina's has a little of a 'Cheers' vibe. It's a quaint little owner-operated diner, with delicious food. If both the front and side parking spaces are full and you see several cars parked near the stop sign on 219th & Lorain, their packed. People who know the drill, order, eat, and move on quickly though. They have 1 cook who does an amazing job of keeping things rolling, but he's still just a one man operation in the kitchen, so when the capacity is maxed out, it will take just a little longer for the girls to take your order as to not overwhelm the cook. If it's not super busy, it's a different story and everything is nice and quick. Either way, it's always worth it. I don't hesitate to take anyone that I know when we're looking for great food during their hours of operation. Gina's is my favorite local diner!
This is the spot! We got off the plane looking for breakfast and found this place and decided to give it a try and we were highly impressed. Gina is the sweetest! Staff was friendly and food was incredible! I had bacon, eggs and pancakes and it was one of the best meals I've had in a while! My friend had the burger and raved about it! Give it a try, you wont be disappointed!
Like a scene from a Hallmark movie! My first time in here and the whole place is decked out in Christmas decorations. There are people dining, planning, vacations, catching up on business, and chatting with friends. I'm sitting alone at the bar and every customer that comes in greets me before finding their seat. The toast is crispy but still fluffy, the omelettes are browned around the edge, and the coffee is never empty. My food arrives quickly and still hot, the servers are all friendly, and the smell of melted butter fills the air. I ended up purchasing gift cards from here for stocking stuffers this year.
Bonus: they have orange marmalade!
Gina's place is therapeutic for me. It's so wholesome. Nothing over the top. It's just so normal. Gina treats everyone like they are a regular. The simplicity of Gina's is part of the charm. The food is delicious and Gina is a charmer. The prices are fair.
By far the best breakfast we had on our tip to Cleveland, tiny little place, home cooked breakfast. Reasonable prices and great service!
Small, homey, cozy and cash only. There aren't too many places like that anymore. Gina is always there, running the show, chatting up the customers, seemingly on a first name basis with all of them. Service is quick, no nonsense and the food is prepared-at-home delicious. The place fills up very quickly so it's not uncommon to have to wait a bit for a table but a meal at Gina's is more than worth the wait.
Gina's place is a small, adorable diner in Fairview Park. I found it online while a friend was visiting from Michigan, so we decided to give it a try. It is cash only, so come prepared. Luckily, there was an ATM across the street. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable (got to meet Gina herself), and everything was maintained very clean. Unfortunately, there was a very rude table while I was here who really treated the staff poorly. There was one waitress and one chef. I did say it was small, didn't I? It really broke my heart to see them be treated so poorly, and the entire diner was able to overhear. Just despicable! Nonetheless, we may not be able to control the ugly in the world, but the staff did such a lovely job at handling the situation. I would love to come back and support this business and these lovely people again. ❤️
